The Creativity Can is a response to an urgent need highlighted by a Newsweek article entitled “The Creativity Crisis”. The article emphasizes the need for children to expand creative thinking and cites a study that found creativity scores have declined every year since 1990. 


Creativity for Kids decided to launch a campaign in 2013 after seeing these statistics, not only to bring more attention to the creativity crisis, but rally for a comeback.


When you put these very simple materials found in the Creativity Can into the hands of children, that’s when amazing things happen. They invent, they problem solve, they collaborate and more importantly; they gain confidence in themselves.
